ITINERARY
DAY 1: UYUNI SALT FLATS – VILLA CANDELARIA (L,D)
After to pick you up from the airport o bus station, you’ll have time for breakfast and to explore Uyuni town.
Then, you start the amazing adventure at the trains grave yard, a literally playground for adults, where you can see some steam locomotives which were brought from England in 1872.
Next, you are going to drive 30 min to Colchani, a small village where you are gonna learn about salt manufacturing. Free time in the craft market.
Time to go to the Salar de Uyuni, salts flats, you will have a yummy lunch, in the middle of nowhere.
Funniest and craziest pictures ever will be taken by guide.
Once in Inkahuasi Island you will do a nice hike, with stunning views, and magical landscapes (if the rainfall water´s level is too high, could be not possible to get the island).
Then you are going to drive a couple of hrs. Forward the hotel, a hot and delicious dinner will be waiting for you.
*The accommodation is in Candelaria village (a hostel made it of salt, with private bathrooms)
DAY 2: VALLEY OF ROCKS – SILOLI DESERT – RED LAKE – UYUNI (B,L)
Today, you’ll have an early start after breakfast the ride will be a couple of hours.
The first stop, will be at the valley of rocks, (igneous rocks formations), according with your imagination you can see all types of weird shapes.
Then, the drive will go on Siloli desert, one of the most similar place on earth to Planet Mars, with colorfully lagoons, volcanoes, and ethereal landscapes.
It is also a perfect place to have a picnic, enjoying the stunning sceneries. Not far from there, it is located the National park´s with its highlight the red lake o Laguna Colorada, with thousands of pink flamingos, you’ll see, also, the very famous rock´s tree (volcanoes rock formation).
After this experience, it is time to take the road back to Uyuni, but also visiting some nice places on the way back.
