ITINERARY
DAY 1: LA PAZ - LA RINCONADA - CONDORIRI BASE CAMP (4700) (L, D)
The trek begins with a scenic drive from La Paz to Tuni, a small village located at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. From Tuni, you will start your hike towards the Base Camp of Condoriri, which is situated at an altitude of around 4,600 meters (15,091 feet). The hike to the base camp is moderately challenging, taking you through picturesque valleys and glacial streams.
As you ascend, you will be surrounded by stunning views of snow-capped mountains, including the iconic Mount Condoriri, which resembles a condor in flight. The trek to the base camp usually takes around 2 hours, allowing you to immerse yourself in the peaceful wilderness of the national park. Upon reaching the base camp, you will set up your tents and enjoy a well-deserved rest. In the evening, you can explore the surroundings or simply relax and appreciate the awe-inspiring beauty of the mountains. The clear night sky offers a perfect opportunity for stargazing, providing a magical experience in this remote and untouched wilderness.

DAY 2: CONDORIRI BASE CAMP – AUSTRIA PEAK (5350M)-(B, L, D)
After a yummy breakfast the trek starts walking uphill, the average time to get the summit is around 5 hrs. At the pass (5150) there´s a nice pause for a snack enjoying the landscapes, retrieving energy for the last 200 m. Once on the top (5350) the view of the all Royal Mountain Range is just amazing, you’re going to feel how your heart throbs, a unique experience, surrounded by the Andes’s immensity, the way back it’s going to take 2 1/2 hrs.and the ride back to La Paz is 2 hrs.
