ITINERARY
DAY 1: UYUNI SALT FLATS (L,D)
Once in Uyuni, you will have enough time to organize your staff and do a walking tour knowing more about Uyuni’s city. Then, time for breakfast, getting enough energy for today’s adventure.
Starting the trip, the first stop will be at the Train’s grave yard, which will take us back in time to 1900’s.
Then, you head to Colchani, a salt-producing community on the shores of the Gran Salar, where you’ll learn about the salt manufacturing process and visiting the craft market.
You will continue the trip into the Salar, where you’ll have several stops to take amazing and funny pictures, enjoying the immensity of this white desert, if it has not rained yet, you will visit the Inkahuasi Island which is characterized by its giant cactus. In the rainy season may not impossible to visit the Island. During these months January to April Uyuni has the mirror effect of the water; it will be like a trip to heaven.
The sunset is so impressive that it will remain engraved in our minds and hearts.
To finish the day, the accommodation is according the chosen option.
DAY 2: ROCK FORMATIONS – LAGOONS – TOMAVE HOT SPRINGS (B,L)
After a special breakfast, you return to the adventure! Today you’ll go further north, where you can see the contrast of landscapes, Andean wildlife such as; vicuñas, Suris and flamingos, a couple of colorful lagoons, also you’ll see spectacular volcanic rock formations. And ending the day you’ll enjoy the 40º medicinal hot spring in Tomave village.
Then you’ll return to Uyuni to take the overnight bus back to La Paz at 20:00 pm.
